October is Circular Economy Month!
As we celebrate circular economy, join our executive director, Ethan Richardson, on October 6th at the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council’s Fall Workshops event in Moose Jaw. Ethan’s presentation will be at 9:30 a.m. and he will discuss the used oil perspective in the circular economy.
Used oil is a fantastic example of the circular economy in action. When used oil is properly collected and recycled, it can be used again and again, reducing the need for new oil to be extracted from the earth. In fact, used oil can be recycled indefinitely – making it a truly sustainable resource!
What is Circular Economy?
The circular economy is an alternative to the traditional linear economy (make, use, dispose) in which we keep resources in use for as long as possible, extract the maximum value from them whilst in use, then recover and regenerate products and materials at the end of their service life.
